Honor yourself and treat others with care. We rarely treat others as we would wish to be treated. We might think we do, but we get trapped in justification and rationalization for our actions and words and assume that others will adjust. It’s easy to do, especially with loved ones or friends. Familiarization breeds indifference and we take them for granted. They will always be there for us because they always have been there for us, and they will understand. I do it. You do it. Everyone does it because we become unconscious to the familiar patterns of friendship and kinship. Stop. Pause. Honor yourself.
What will your day bring your way? We have opportunities throughout our day to treat others with care. In what way can you shift into this with grace and ease? In what way will you honor yourself today? Start with recognition of those in your world who are close. Send them a message of love and support. No need for apology. Just reach out. Treat them with care.
