Acceptable Use Policy & Terms of Engagement
JeanHF is a living body of work created by Jean Hamilton-Fford. It includes writing, mentoring, speaking, digital resources, private client work, audio and visual materials, and published reflections around creativity, consciousness, identity, voice, and human-centered technology.
These terms exist to protect the integrity of the work, the steadiness of the client container, and the materials shared through JeanHF.
By using this website, purchasing an offering, booking a session, joining a private program, or engaging with JeanHF materials, you agree to the terms below.
The Nature of This Work
JeanHF offers reflective, creative, strategic, and presence-led mentoring.
This work may support clarity, voice, authorship, digital identity, creative direction, self-expression, and grounded next steps. It is educational, creative, and developmental in nature.
JeanHF does not provide therapy, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, diagnosis, crisis support, or regulated professional services. You remain responsible for your own choices, actions, wellbeing, and professional decisions.
Website and Content Use
All writing, audio, video, images, downloads, frameworks, prompts, session materials, and other resources shared through JeanHF are protected intellectual property unless clearly stated otherwise.
You may use JeanHF materials for your own personal reflection and development.
You may not copy, reproduce, record, republish, distribute, sell, train AI systems on, adapt, or present JeanHF materials as your own without written permission.
Short excerpts may be shared with clear attribution where appropriate. Longer use, commercial use, teaching use, or republication requires written consent.
Private Client Work
JeanHF may offer a limited number of private client places each year.
The current 1:1 mentoring container is an 8-week engagement, usually including weekly calls, reflective work, homework, and private guidance between sessions where agreed.
The fee, scope, schedule, and payment terms will be confirmed before the engagement begins.
Client work is relational, focused, and intentional. It works best when both parties arrive prepared, honest, and willing to engage with depth, clarity, and care.
Client Responsibilities
As a client, you agree to:
– Attend sessions on time and prepared
– Complete agreed reflective work or homework where relevant
– Communicate clearly around scheduling, access needs, or changes
– Engage with the work honestly and respectfully
– Take responsibility for your own decisions and implementation
– Respect the boundaries of the container
– Use JeanHF materials for your own personal and professional development only
The work may be spacious, intuitive, and exploratory, but it is also held within clear practical boundaries.
Sessions, Scheduling, and Rescheduling
Session times are agreed in advance.
Please give as much notice as possible if a session needs to be moved. Missed sessions or late cancellations may be treated as used unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Where possible, one reschedule may be offered within the 8-week container, subject to diary availability. Additional rescheduling may shorten the rhythm of the engagement or require a separate arrangement.
The 8-week container is designed as a focused period of work. It is not an open-ended mentoring arrangement.
Payment, Cancellation, and Refunds
Payment for private 1:1 work is made in full at the time of booking.
JeanHF does not offer payment plans for private 1:1 mentoring.
Because this is a bespoke 1:1 engagement created around the individual client, their work, their questions, their creative direction, and their agreed focus, the fee is non-refundable once the statutory cancellation period has passed and the engagement has been confirmed.
Private client work begins only after the 14-day cancellation period has ended, unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing.
During the 14-day cancellation period, you may cancel your booking and receive a refund in line with your statutory rights.
Once the cancellation period has passed and the engagement has begun, refunds are not offered for change of mind, non-attendance, unused sessions, lack of completion of reflective work, changes in personal availability, or a decision to step away from the process.
If JeanHF needs to cancel the engagement before it begins, you will receive a full refund. If JeanHF needs to end the engagement after it has begun, any refund or alternative arrangement will be considered in relation to the work already delivered, preparation completed, calendar time reserved, and the circumstances involved.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Confidentiality
Private client work is confidential.
JeanHF will not share the content of your sessions, written reflections, private materials, or personal information except where required by law, safeguarding concern, professional obligation, or with your clear consent.
You agree to keep private any unpublished JeanHF materials, frameworks, prompts, session recordings, documents, or resources shared with you during the engagement.
If testimonials, case studies, or public references are ever requested, they will only be used with explicit permission.
Boundaries and Communication
JeanHF communication is intended to be clear, respectful, and spacious.
Private client communication may take place by email, booking software, video call, or another agreed channel.
Between-session support, if included, will be defined before the engagement begins. Unless agreed otherwise, JeanHF does not provide emergency support, crisis response, or unlimited access between calls.
Messages are received with care, but response times may vary depending on working hours, client load, health, travel, and existing commitments.
Conduct
You agree to engage with JeanHF, its materials, and any private work with respect and integrity.
The following are not permitted:
– Harassment, abuse, intimidation, or discriminatory behavior
– Aggressive, manipulative, or boundary-disregarding communication
– Unauthorized recording of sessions
– Sharing private materials without permission
– Copying, repackaging, or commercially using JeanHF frameworks or resources
– Attempting to bypass website access controls or misuse technical systems
– Spam, scraping, or automated extraction of website content
JeanHF reserves the right to pause or end access to services, materials, or communication if these terms are breached.
Use of AI and Digital Tools
JeanHF may discuss digital identity, AI, authorship, creative systems, or emerging technology as part of the work.
You are responsible for any tools, platforms, accounts, software, or third-party services you choose to use.
JeanHF does not guarantee outcomes from AI tools, publishing platforms, websites, social media platforms, or other third-party systems.
You agree not to upload private JeanHF materials, client documents, unpublished resources, or session content into AI systems or public tools without written permission.
Intellectual Property Created During Client Work
You retain ownership of your own original writing, ideas, business materials, creative work, and personal reflections.
JeanHF retains ownership of its own methods, frameworks, prompts, teaching materials, written resources, session structures, language, and creative IP.
Where new language, positioning, or strategic material is created specifically for you during paid client work, you may use it for your own personal brand, website, business, book, or creative project unless agreed otherwise.
You may not resell, teach, license, publish, or redistribute JeanHF frameworks, session materials, or resources as your own methodology.
Access Needs and Suitability
JeanHF aims to create thoughtful, respectful, and accessible working conditions.
If you have access needs that may affect calls, written work, timing, format, processing time, or communication style, you are invited to share them before the engagement begins.
Private mentoring may not be suitable for every person or situation. JeanHF may decline or end an engagement where the work falls outside scope, capacity, expertise, or ethical fit.
Ending an Engagement
Either party may request to end the engagement if the working relationship becomes unsuitable, unsafe, or misaligned.
Where an engagement ends early, any refund or remaining access will be considered in line with the payment terms, work already delivered, calendar time reserved, and applicable consumer rights.
JeanHF may end an engagement immediately where there is serious misconduct, breach of confidentiality, misuse of materials, harassment, or disregard for agreed boundaries.
Technical Use
You agree not to misuse the JeanHF website, forms, booking systems, payment systems, or any private access areas.
This includes attempting to bypass access controls, scrape content, interfere with the site, introduce malicious code, or access materials that have not been made available to you.
Technical issues can be reported through the contact page.
Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time as JeanHF offerings evolve.
The version in place at the time of your booking or purchase will usually apply to that engagement unless a change is required for legal, technical, or safety reasons.
